Virginia Mae Cruz

October 2, 1928 — September 1, 2020

Virginia was born on October 2, 1928 in Brownsville, Texas to Pete and Antonia Veno. She moved to the Dallas area in 1944 and made her final residence in Mesquite, Texas.

Survived by six (6) daughters: Sandra (Gerald), Hilda, Erlinda (Jr.) Dora (Tony), Esther (James) and Josie; stepson: Roy; adopted son: Cirilo and a sister: Ruth (Wallace). She is preceded in death by sons: Noah and Abelardo; stepson: Raul; and five siblings: Ellen, Mary, Gladys, Walter and Pete.

She had 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends who loved her dearly and will greatly miss her.

Acknowledgements: Thank you Hilda for being Mom's caregiver. We know it wasn't easy. Thank you Mickie for being so giving to mom and the family.

There will be a Memorial Service for Virginia on Saturday September 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, Texas 75041. There will be a limit of 50 and everyone is encouraged and required to wear a mask.
