Valorye Carroll

Valorye Lathram Carroll, 55, of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 21, 2021 in McKinney, Texas.

She was born January 19, 1966 in Childress, Texas to Burton and Jo Ann Lathram. Later in life, she moved to McKinney, Texas and resided there these past 14 years with family.

Valorye was a nanny and a childcare worker. Working with children brought her great joy and she was dearly loved by every single child she took care of over the years. Valorye was involved in her church in Allen, Texas and loved to sing praise & worship.

She is survived by her children, Casey Jo Hale, Cameron Carroll, Cassidy Carroll, and son-in-law, Eric Hale of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ellasyn and Burklee Hale of McKinney, Texas; sister, Sabrina Dorris, brother-in-law Steve Dorris of Allen, Texas; niece BriAnn Holland of Washington, DC; and nephew Kade Dorris of Portland, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Lathram, and Aunt and Uncle Glenda & Burl Bumpus.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas. Pastor Benjamin Thomas of Church Eleven32 will officiate.
