Timothy Donald Ready

Timothy "Tim" Donald Ready, passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 72 in Princeton, Texas after a four year battle with cancer. He was born on October 17, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. Tim was a beloved father to Kelly, Eric (Kassandra Rangel), and Erinn (Ian Ready), and a cherished grandfather to Kaia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Leo V. Ready and Genevieve ("Jeff") Ready (nee Wagasky) of Garfield Heights, Ohio.

He is survived by his five siblings Kathleen Filipek (Paul) of Lakewood, Ohio; Patricia Brown (Michael, deceased) of Mentor, Ohio; Denise Ready (Michael) of Richfield, Ohio; Michelle Schultz (Rick) of Hudson, Ohio; and John (Martha) of Lakewood, Ohio. Tim is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins; and, former spouses Mary Ready Gatewood of Ovilla, Texas and Julie Brown Ready of Princeton, Texas.

Tim had a long career in Information Technology, which began with the Western Electric Apprentice program after graduating from St. Peter Chanel High School (Bedford, Ohio) in 1969. As a result of numerous corporate mergers and sales, he worked for many different employers in IT throughout his more than five-decade career. His dedication and vast expertise led him to be recognized as the United Technologies Employee of the Year in 1981 out of over eleven thousand employees.

Outside of his professional life, Tim had a lifelong passion for music, particularly playing the bass guitar in a successful band during the late 60's and 70's, garnering a large regional following in Ohio and surrounding states. He was also a devoted sports fan, with a lifelong love for Cleveland sports, especially his beloved Cleveland Browns. Tim loved being on the water and loved boating on Lake Erie before moving to Texas. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Tim’s family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
