Thomas Earl Duckworth was born in Dallas, Texas on February 9, 1939 to Edward and Orpha Duckworth. He passed from this life on January 5, 2011 in Dallas, Texas at 71 years of age.
Tommy attended school in Blue Ridge, Texas. He was married to Carolyn Herod in Copeville, Texas in 1993. They made their home in Dallas. Tommy delivered auto parts for Auto Zone.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Herod-Duckworth, his children Rita McKeeber, Jan Barrows, Sharon Coulter, Tim Redd, Kelly McCown and wife Dawn, G. K. McCown and wife Malisa, his mother Orpha Duckworth, his sisters Mickey Hansen, Cynthia Jones, Billie Withrow, Jackie McGee, his brothers Jimmy and Donnie Duckworth, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Edward Duckworth and one brother, Paul Duckworth.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth Street in Sachse.
