Sylvia Solis Garza age 75 of Sachse Texas passed away on July 26th, 2021 at T Boone Pickens Hospice after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born February 10, 1946 in Rockport, Texas.
She was married to the love of her life Juan Q Garza on August 19th, 1960, and they shared 60 beautiful years together.
Sylvia was a strong, passionate, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend to many. She loved fiercely and dedicated her life instilling love, peace, guidance, joy and happiness for her husband and children and many extended family members who grew to call her Mom or Momo.
Those who knew her understood her beauty was not only on the surface but exuded from within her soul. Her gorgeous smile, and ability to make friends with anyone was to be admired.
She loved to sing, dance, cook, play games but what made her the happiest was having all those she loved around her celebrating life together as a family.
Sylvia was survived by her husband Juan Q Garza; 5 children Janice Garza, Andrew Garza, Julie Garza, Dennis Garza and Sobeida Garza and their spouses; 5 Grandchildren Sylvia Maria Garza, Andrew Darling, Estee Garza, Briesa Rodriguez, David Trevino and their spouses and 4 great grandchildren Charlie Ayden Rodriguez, Rylie Exten Rodriguez, David John Trevino, Jiraiya Jean Trevino and her sisters Ernestina Pina and Alicia Ramirez.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Sobeida Falcon, Josephine and Jose Solis and her siblings Avelina Pina, Carolina Greene, Pauline Chupe, Henry Falcon, Peter Solis and her beloved twin brother Pedro Solis.
Funeral Information
The Rosary & visitation will be held at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel - Sachse on Sunday, August 1st from 5-7 pm.
Funeral services will take place at St Anthony Catholic Church 404 N Ballard Ave, Wylie, TX 75098 on Monday August 2nd at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow the funeral and will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery 2500 Hwy 66 East, Rockwall, TX 75087
Due to the recent spread of the Delta variant the family has requested that all who attend are inoculated and masks will be required.
To ensure protection for those most vulnerable there will not be a reception following the services and instead information regarding a Celebration of Life gathering will be communicated in the future.
