Roy Max Crowder, 77 of Rowlett passed from this life March 14, 2012. He was born May 8, 1934 in Denison, Texas to Roy & Ima Burleson Crowder.
Roy served in the U. S. Navy and worked as a machinist in the defense industry. He married Nettie Russell in 1957. They were blessed with 5 children.
Roy leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Nettie, children Colton Crowder and wife Allison, Paula Elliott, Patsy Crowder and Courtney Crowder, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Connie Stone.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, March 16 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th St. in Sachse, 972-414-5050. Service will be 12 pm Saturday, March 17 at Smith & Sons Sachse Chapel. Burial will follow in Sachse Cemetery.
