Robin Lynn Ayres

February 13, 1961 — June 28, 2022

Robin Lynn Waide Ayres, 61, of Dallas, Texas, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. She was born on February 13, 1961, in Perryton, Texas, the second daughter of Ronnie Lee Waide and Sue Williams Waide.
Robin attended Canyon High School, graduating with the class of 1979. She then attended West Texas State University, earning her BFA in 1983. Following graduation, she moved to Dallas to begin what became a thirty-seven-year career with The Richards Group, a top graphic design firm in Dallas. In 1996, while still with The Richards Group, she built Flying Start, which is a naming and verbal identity company. In 2021, she moved to VMLY&R, a global brand and customer experience agency, as the Verbal Group Design Director.
The door to Robin's home was opened to anyone who needed a place to be. She had the ability to make anyone feel valued and cared for. Her creative ability knew no bounds. She enjoyed spending time in her studio creating unique jewelry and a colorful variety of found-object art pieces. Robin respected and cherished the creative voice of any individual brave enough to express one. This spirit made Robin right at home in the Cedars District of Dallas, where she spent the last years of her life surrounded by like-minded friends in a close-knit creative community.
Left to cherish Robin's memory are her three sons, James, Kirby, and his wife, Alexandra, and Nathan; her parents, Ronnie and Sue Waide; sisters, Rhonda Artho and her husband, Mike, and Becca Leggitt and her husband, Jeff; nieces, Rachel Ickert and her husband, Andrew, and Wendy Calvo and her husband, RJ, and nephew, Carson Leggitt; great nieces and nephews, Emily, Alex, Cole, Riley, Maddie, Aubrey and Lilly.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Rosie Waide, and Chester and Maibelle Williams.
A celebration of Robin's life will take place on the greenbelt adjacent to the Flecker's home on Thursday, July 7, at 6:00 p.m. Because Robin's life was so full of color, please dress in colorful, semi-formal attire.
