Robert “Bob” F. Lannerd was born January 4, 1942 in New Castle, IN. He passed from this world Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, TX at age 82.

 Bob graduated from Knightstown High School. Bob was enlisted in the US Army where he served until 1965, the last 8 months being involved in the Vietnam War. Thanks to the US Army he learned his life’s profession, a helicopter mechanic on the Huey Aircraft. He was well known and well respected in the Helicopter Industry with 40 years of service. Bob was a member of the HAI (Helicopters Association International) among many other associations.

 Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cathey Diann, sons Robert “Rob” Jr. and Johnathon & wife Lori. Bob also had 6 Grandchildren, Zach (Wife Faith), Peyton, Brianna, Hunter, Madyson and Braydon. Bob also had sister Betty Joe Snyder and brothers John and Tom Lannerd. He had many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces as well. He also had many friends from the Indiana, Texas (Dallas and Hughes Springs) and Louisiana (Lake Charles) area. We are also especially thankful for the caregivers of the Clyde W. Cosper State Veterans home that took such great care of Bob once he was admitted.
