Raymond William Genuske

On August 29, 2022 Raymond William Genuske of Richardson Texas passed away at the age of 92.
He was born to Arthur and Florence Genuske on December 29, 1929 in Downers Grove IL.
He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 while stationed in Germany.
He received his bachelors degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
He and Ruth Genuske were married in 1954 in Downers Grove IL and moved to El Paso Texas shortly thereafter. Together they had 4 children, Karen, Ken, Kevin and Kathy.
His entire career was in Customer Service and Sales. He began his career with American Airlines, then went into the tire industry (Goodyear, Firestone and St. John Tire Company). In the early 1970's he sold Kenworth trucks.
He and Ruth were very active in the Western Hills Methodist church in El Paso Texas as well as the United Methodist church in Cloudcroft New Mexico.
Upon retirement, He and Ruth moved to Cloudcroft New Mexico and enjoyed many travel adventures in their motor home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Florence Genuske, Sister Ann Morton, Brother Bruce Genuske, and his wife Ruth Genuske.
He is survived by his 4 children Karen and husband Craig, Ken and wife Brenda, Kevin and wife Terri, Kathy and husband Raymond; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Lyndi, Sean and Kayla; 8 great grandchildren Emmi, Clarke, Andrew, Marian, TJ Jr., Rhett, Harley and one great granddaughter on the way.
He was also blessed with 3 step-grandchildren; Chris, Katie and Zach; 4 Step great grandchildren Hunter, Hayden, Olivia and Ava.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, October 23, 2022 in the Chapel at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse TX.
He will be laid to rest at the Dallas – Fort Worth National VA Cemetery at 11:15 am on October 24, 2022.
