Peter Sorensen III, age 77, entered into eternal life Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home in Nevada, TX.
Peter Sorensen III was born March 26, 1945, in Mineral Wells, Texas the son of Peter and Virginia Sorensen Jr. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army. Pete married the love of his life, Francine Elizabeth Sarvas, February 3, 1967 in Dallas TX. He retired from Rockwell International after years of service as an Electrical Engineer. Post retirement he became a paramedic and took classes to become a EMT instructor at Collin County Community College. He enjoyed Astrology, Hamm Radio, his horses, and was a genuine family man. He was also a "professional" student, Pete would take college classes just to learn something new and different. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pete Sorensen leaves behind his beloved family, wife, Francine Sorensen of Nevada, TX; children, Patrick Sorensen, Kimberly Carlson and husband Barry, Christopher Sorensen and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Savannah, Madeline, Lauren, and Hailey, along with his second set of "children" Mickey and Minnie (his puppies), and his sisters Adrianna Gideon, and Virginia Chappell.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Sorensen will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Chapel in Lavon TX. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Sorensen, Christopher Sorensen, and Barry Carlson.
