Patti Lynn Van Dusen

Patti passed away on December 30, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on November 2, 1925 in McKinney, Texas; her family moved to Dallas and she grew up on Victor Street in Old East Dallas where she met her future husband Charles at age 12. They graduated from Crozier Tech High School in 1943 and on September 22, 1944 they married; thereafter she followed Charles to military bases in Nevada, California and Virginia during WWII and after he returned from the war they started their family. She had 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was active in Casa Linda Presbyterian Church, serving as a Circle leader, President of the Women of the Church and an Elder, and was an early supporter and volunteer of The White Rock Center of Hope. She was a long-time member of the Atlasta Book Club and various lunch and bridge groups. They also lived in New Orleans and Houston for a time.

She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Charles Van Dusen, her daughter Charlotte Houston, her daughter Elaine Stroupe, and her son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Gloria Van Dusen, along with 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; she is preceded in death by her daughter Cathleen Van Dusen and her son Charles "Buddy" Van Dusen.

She was deeply loved by her husband, family and friends and will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
