Ozzie Darquea, 44, was called home by his heavenly Father on Sunday, January 9th 2011.
He was born in Bogota, Colombia on June 24, 1966 to Jorge and Aura Darquea. He lived with 7 brothers and sisters; Nancy, Denise, Ric, Rod, Sonia, Milton, and Alex Darquea.
He Moved to West Chicago at age 5, where he grew up and graduated from West Chicago Community High School in 1984 and attended Illinois State University in Carbondale, IL.
In 1995 he united with Claudia Chavez and lived in Bartlett, Illinois. In 2004 the company he worked for offered him a promotion in the company and relocated him & his family to Murphy, Texas.
He & Claudia have been blessed with four children Jordan (16), Jenae (15), Kaleigh(13), and Andres(6).
He just reached his 25 year anniversary with Ryder Transportation where he was a Senior Service Manager.
A die hard Chicago Bears fan Ozzie supported the Bears even though he had moved from his beloved Chicago.
Ozzie was well loved & adored by his family & friends because of his huge heart. Ozzie had a beautiful life filled with extraordinary memories & he put a smile on the faces of everyone he met. No matter what he was going through with his illness he made it a point to show kindness to each & everyone that he came in contact with.
The Memorial Service will be held from 7-9 pm Friday January 14, 2011 at the Charles W. Smith and Sons, Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth St. Sachse, Texas 75048, 972-414-5050.
The Funeral Service will be 10 A.M., Saturday, January 15th, 2011 at Sachse Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Chase Bank, account number 2959782836.
