Nevada

Norma J Johnson, 86, of Nevada, TX, passed from this life on March 4, 2023, at Lexington Medical Lodge while under Hospice care for alzheimer's dementia and congestive heart failure.

Norma was born June 11, 1936, in Gary, IN. to Lovina Hardesty.

Norma in her younger years enjoyed sewing, ceramics, crocheting, yardwork and cooking/baking for family and friends. Norma was a cleaner. She thought everything had its place. It made her nervous when things where out of place.

She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She would never pass on a chance to help her kids or spend time with her grandkids.  She was a devoted mother always putting her children first. She always was ready to keep any of the grandkids when they were sick or need to go to the doctor.

She started her career at Texas Instruments until she wanted to be a stay at home mom. Norma was proud to have gotten her Real Estate License, even though she didn'tn use it because the wheeling and dealing was not her cup of tea.  Later she went to work at Brookhaven Hospital. She took the supplies to all the different floor and nursing stations. She really enjoyed helping care for and meet many people.   Norma also owned and helped run the family plumbing shop for serval years.

Norma was preceded in death by her mom, Lovina Hardesty; her husband James Johnson in 2021.  Her great grand daughter, Brianna McClanhan in 2010. Her great grandson, Lucas James Bullard in 2020. Her step great-grandson, Biggins Bullard in 2021. Her Dog Butch.

Norma is survived by her two children: James Johnson Jr. and wife Tracy , of Plano, TX.; Sherry Fletcher and husband Les, of Nevada, Tx; Daughter-in-law Joann Johnson of Garland, TX.; three grandchildren; two grandchildren/great-grandchildren; One great granddaughter; and two great great grandchildren and many close friends.
