Nora Faye Evans Chandler of Midland, Texas passed from this life on Monday, October 4, 2021 in Mesquite, Texas after battling pneumonia.
She was born February 24, 1930, in Floydada, Texas to Henry and Lona Evans. She married Carlos P. Chandler September 14, 1946 in Littlefield. They moved from Tulia to the St. Lawrence farming community near Garden City, Tx in 1961, where they farmed for 30 years. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Carlos, 2nd husband, Charles Chandler, 11 siblings and son, Riley Dee.
She was a loving mother to her sons Riley & Tony, and her adoptive daughter Glenda and a helpmate to her husband. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Midland, Texas
She is survived by daughter, Glenda Glover of Wills Point and Tony Chandler of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Betty Atchley of Childress, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
When some of her grandchildren were asked to describe their Nannie, they immediately said, "Domestic Goddess and one of the best tractor drivers they ever saw." " Also, "No one could make biscuits, cornbread or sweet potato pie better than their Nannie."
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9th at Cana Cemetery near Canton, Texas under the direction of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Homes. Brother Rickie Jenkins of Campbell Road Church of Christ, officiating.
