Nick Griffin

February 12, 1998 — June 19, 2023

Sachse, Texas

Nicholas “Nick” Deon Griffin passed away into the arms of the Lord on June 19, 2023, in Plano, Texas.  Nick will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we rejoice in knowing he is now in the presence of Jesus.

Nick was born in Dallas, Texas on February 12,1998, to Lee Griffin Jr. and Catana Johnson.

Nick had a beautiful heart and was loved by everyone who met him. Nick was a loving person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was the kindest person anyone could meet, and selflessly put everyone before himself. Any pain Nick may have had was always turned outward as kindness and love to everyone around him. He never raised his voice in anger, although he may have killed a fly or two.  He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in day-to-day activities.  Nick’s hugs were unrivaled, even the “bro hugs.”  He always had an infectious smile on his face showing off his dimples. The world will be a little dimmer without Nick’s presence. Nick had many family circles, and he held a special place in his heart for Granny Griffin.

Nick loved playing sports and was active in Football and Wrestling at Wyle High School.  After graduating Wyle High School in 2017, he achieved an Associate Degree in HVAC Technology from Eastfield College where his hard work earned him a spot on the Dean’s List. Nick went on to work with his family at First Class Pools and Spas where he was loved by all his customers.

Nick was not an idle person, even if he was sick, he would always stay active. He loved playing drums in a band with his brothers, practicing Muay Thai, hiking, fishing, skating, playing video games, listening to music, being technologically minded, as well as having a keen interest in art.  Music was a big part of Nick’ life and playing drums was one of his passions along with staying physically fit.  He relished spending time with family and friends, and loved traveling, hanging at the beach or mountains, and exploring nature. Nick was a hard worker although he always made time for Morgan, his loving partner of six years, as well as his beloved dog Prince. Nick was amazing at cooking breakfast, with a talent for making eggs. He was a kind, loving, generous, and chivalrous partner and would freely share all the tomatoes with Morgan, especially if they were on his plate.

Nick touched many lives in his short 25 years and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Nick is survived by his loving spouse, Morgan Allen, and an extensive list of family members, all of whom loved him dearly.
