Naomi Frances Coleman

September 16, 1925 — October 28, 2020

Naomi Coleman, 95, of Dallas, TX entered eternal rest on October 28, 2020. Naomi was born in Sampson Community in Henderson County, Texas on September 16, 1925 to Richard Browning and Pearl Jordan. She attended elementary in Sampson Community and graduated from La Poynor High School. After graduating from Draughon's Business College in Dallas, she worked for many years at Southwestern Bell Telephone, where she happily introduced a few co-workers to her family members who found their life partner. She retired from Dallas Baptist Annuity Board after 13 years of faithful service.

She met the love of her life, James Coleman, and they were married on May 21, 1988. She loved being a member of Northlake Baptist Church in Dallas and enjoyed the fellowship of her Mary Martha's Sunday School Class.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Coleman; sister, Lona Callaway; Brother, Dale Browning; and grandnephew Matthew Browning.
Those surviving family members, who will carry on her legacy, include: her nieces, Brenda Purvis and Janis Browning; nephews, Tim Browning and Don Callaway; stepson, Mark Coleman & his wife Barbara; grandson Patrick; granddaughter Catherine; grandniece, Cherie Callaway; grandnephews, Derek Duncan, Drew Duncan, David Duncan, Curt Callaway, and Jason Browning; two great granddaughters; 6 great grandnephews and 2 great grandnieces.

Naomi will be laid to rest next to her late husband, James Coleman, at DFW National Cemetery on Friday, November 6 at 11:00 am.

At this time, flowers are not being permitted at the interment service. Donations may be made to St. Jude Charities, Northlake Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
