Mark C. Guilfo

August 6, 1969 — November 4, 2021

Mark Guilfo was born August 6, 1969, in New Orleans, LA to the late Antione Peter Guilfo and Linda Lee Guilfo. He was the second born child of two brothers.

He grew up in Napoleonville, LA and graduated from Assumption High School in 1988. He continued his education at Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science in General Studies and Bachelor of Arts in History. In Mark's early Christian life, he attended St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Napoleonville, LA, and later along with his family, he attended the Potter's House of North Dallas in Frisco, TX under the leadership of Pastor Sheryl Brady and Bishop Joby Brady.

He married Yvonne Williams on November 3, 2007. He was blessed to be the stepfather to son Jonathan Aneke and daughter Ekira Aneke. They were married for 14 years.

Mark retired from Walmart after 20 years of service and moved to Dallas, TX where he changed his career and became a schoolteacher at Greenwood Hills Elementary with the Richardson Independent School District. He taught 1st through 5th grade with children with autism. Mark loved these children with the Love of God. Teaching was Mark's calling from God. He loved being a Pawpaw to his grandchildren where his love was unconditional and never ending. His deep and pure love was the epitome of his early training of his Christian principles.

Mark is preceded in death by his father Antione Guilfo and brother Troy Guilfo, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne Guilfo of Sachse, TX; stepson Jonathan Aneke of Melissa, TX; stepdaughter Erika Aneke of Highland Park, TX; mother Linda Lee Guilfo of Napoleonville, LA; brother Kenyon Guilfo of LaPlace, LA; nephews Devonte Guilfo and Troy Guilfo; and a host of relatives and friends.
