Marian Varlee Tremblay

Marian Varlee Tremblay peacefully passed into the hands of our Lord and Savior on April 22, 2024, surrounded by family in McKinney, Texas. She was 84 years of age. 

Marian was born on April 8, 1940, in St. Johns, Michigan to Ray Taylor and Tillie (Tews) Taylor. She grew up in a farming family being the sixth of nine children. Upon graduating high school in 1959, she joined the US Air Force. Upon completion of her military service, she met and fell in love with Louis Tremblay. They married shortly thereafter on Thanksgiving Day, 1962 in Louis’ hometown of Lebanon, New Hampshire.  

Marian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration while working full-time, taking night classes and raising two children (Louann and Eric). 

After retirement from New England Power, Marian and Louis relocated to McKinney, Texas, to help raise the grandchildren. Marian (aka Grammy) was a huge presence in the lives of her six grandchildren, traveling across the country to support them in every way she could by attending soccer games, dance recitals, birthday parties, etc., with camera in hand to capture all those special moments.   

Marian became a daughter of the Roman Catholic church after meeting Louie and maintained her devotion until her final days. She will always remain in our memory - a most holy soul. Marian was predeceased by her husband Louis and seven siblings. She is survived by her two children Louann Koustoubardis and Eric Tremblay (Stephanie); six grandchildren Nicholas, Nicole, Michelle, Mikenzie (Colman), Jakob, Tyler; two great grandchildren, Colman II and Bernadette; sibling, Dorothy Plume. 

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Marian, Louis and Roland Tremblay will be held at 10:00am on July 3, 2024 at St. Anthony Parish in White River Junction, Vermont followed by interment service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon, NH. A reception will follow at the Lebanon Elks Lodge.
