On May 22, 2022, Margie Lee French Collis passed away peacefully at her home in Princeton, Texas. She was 91 years old.
She was born in Moody, Texas on December 5, 1930. She was raised in a large family of 14 and was the "baby girl". Margie lived in Amarillo, Texas from 1948-1971 and then moved to Plano, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Collis, her brother John French of Reno, Nevada, her children, Lynnette Henderson of Melissa, Texas, Troy Limbaugh of Tuscola, Texas and Gary Limbaugh of Plano, Texas. Her greatest love was her family and her children were proud to call her MOM! Margie was a born again believer and enjoyed sharing her faith and Jesus with others. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rowlett, Texas. Margie wore many hats in her working career. She was an owner of a bakery which included her being a cake decorator. Next she was employed at Prudential Insurance as a personal secretary. Later was in real estate with a broker license. She then retired from working with her husband George from Collis Land Surveyors after 42 years. She worked along side of her husband in the field and also handled the office duties. Margie will be dearly missed but it's not "Goodbye" it's "See You Later".
Thank you to everyone who came today to show us love and support. Mat God Bless and Keep You!
