Linda Marie Ridgway

Linda Marie Ridgway (Nee Egger) was born to Marion and Beth Egger on October 3, 1954 in Atlantic, Iowa. Linda and family moved to El Reno, Oklahoma where she attended Rose Witcher and Lincoln Elementary, Etta Dale Jr High, and El Reno High School, graduating in 1972.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford was her college of choice, where she majored in elementary education and special education. Linda continued her education while teaching, and became a Master reading teacher. She taught children in Texas for 43 years, encouraging them to love reading and learning. Linda taught in many grades ranging in 1st through 6th. Reading and teaching were her passions and she touched many lives.
Linda was thrilled when she became a mom to her beloved son, Joshua Lee. They had a wonderful relationship and enjoyed making memories, watching movies, visiting Disney World, and Paris.
Linda passed away suddenly on Monday, June 27th without warning. She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Tyler Weaver. She is survived by her son, Joshua Ridgway of Dallas, brother Randy (Sharon) Egger of Dallas, sister Debora (Glenn) Weaver of Frisco, and 4 nieces and a nephew, along with 8 great nieces and nephews who love and miss her dearly. She is leaving behind many close friends and family who grieve her loss.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 1st, 2022, at Pecan Grove Cemetery @10:00 AM.
