Linda graduated from Princeton High School in 1975, and she married Edwin Keith Dillard on March 13, 1982 at King Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her husband with all her heart, and it showed throughout all their years of marriage. This upcoming March they would have been married 40 years. Linda worked in the cafeterias for McKinney ISD and Richardson ISD for 15 years. She also worked as a bus assistant for Durham School Services for 12 years. Linda was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas.
Becoming a grandmother was one of the greatest blessings in Mom's life. Her two precious girls, she loved us both so much and was so very proud of the women we have become. Mom was always there to talk to, give us support, and show us her love. We will miss her a lot, but we know she is in a better place in Heaven with Jesus walking the streets of gold. This is not "Goodbye", but instead "See you later!"
Mom loved cooking. She learned from her mother, and she passed down her cooking skills to us. She would tell us many stories of growing up as a child. She loved her brother, Rickie, with all her heart, and she was very proud of him and his family.
We would like to thank the staff at PICU West Tower, ICU Unit at Medical City McKinney.
Linda is survived by her husband, Edwin Keith Dillard; daughters, Misty Dawn Dillard and Kristy Lynn Dillard; grandson, Ayden Edwin Dillard; brother, Rickie Ray Lafon; and a great host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Ray and Nannie Marie Lafon; and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Marie Dillard.
