Laura Lee Painton

On this New Year’s Day, Laura Lee Painton, 41, of Wylie, Texas lost her battle against breast cancer. Laura’s passion was improving the lives of special needs kiddos who would not live typical lives and her positive light was felt by so many. Laura is survived by and loved dearly by her husband Zachariah Karlovich, her son Jacob Reese, her daughter Kinsley Rose, her mother Cindy Painton, her father David Painton, her sister Amanda Swick. Laura was born in Phoenix, Arizona but quickly moved to Texas where she was raised in Plano. Laura received her Master of Arts in Teaching at Texas Women’s University and went on to be an exceptional teacher specializing in the education of special needs early learners. She was stubborn and relentless, never giving up on her goals or her students’ progress. She was brave and even when sick she empowered other women to always be their best. Laura’s smile was contagious and unforgettable, her kindness was so overwhelming. She will be missed by so many who know her. Respects can be paid on Saturday, January 13^th at 1:00 at Charles W.
