Kent Dwayne Book

Kent Dwayne Book, 67, passed away peacefully Friday morning, February 3, 2023. He was born March 7, 1955 to George and Grace Book. 

Kent lived many places in the United States, only partially due to his service in the US Navy as a Submariner (1976-1978). He married Marsha Murphy on July 2, 1993, finally getting it right on the third attempt. 

He worked as a Technical Sales/Engineer with a number of organizations over the years. His passions were family heritage, “Fur Kids”, weather, music, movies, and reading and writing fiction novels, mostly of science fiction and fantasy. Kent published one novel, "Chronicles of the Lords of the March, Volume I: Heir to the March". 

Above all other passions he was most proud of his Family and Grandchildren. Kent is survived by his wife and true love, Marsha Book; sister Brenda Spyridon; sons Joshua Kanapkey, Zachary (Alicia) Kanapkey, Jason (Carrie) Kanapkey, and Travis (Stefanie) Book; nephew Preston Spyridon, niece Ashton Spyridon (Brenda's children); and grandchildren: Josh's children Dominique and Siobhan; Zachary's children Thaddeus and Penelope; Jason's son Kingston; and Travis' children Ty, Tatum, and Sawyer. 
He was preceded in death by his father George Book; mother Grace (Cockrum) Winfrey; and step-mother Dorothy (Yates) Book.
