Kelvin Eugene Bailey passed away on April 17, 2024, with the love of his life right next to his side. Kelvin was 68 years old, but forever 21 at heart. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden loss. Kelvin was born to Meldrum and Betty Jo Bailey on November 24, 1955. He attended Harmony Elementary and Robert E Lee High School and lived in East or North Texas for most of his life.
Kelvin worked in all areas of construction and construction management, as well as started several businesses and had ideas for several others. Kelvin was an inventor and entrepreneur and always had a project to do.
Kelvin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a man of great faith, and he loved sharing the gospel with everyone he met. He served a mission in Concepción, Chile, from 1979 to 1981.
Everyone who knew Kelvin knew how joyful, friendly, and loyal he was. He was passionate about his civic duty and served as a mayor in Eagle Mountain, Utah, as well as on community boards throughout his life.
Kelvin is survived by his loving wife (Martiza Bailey), three children (Lisa & Brandon Mann, Kelvin & Emilee Bailey, and Krystal Bailey), five grandchildren (Isabella, Lydia, Tristan, Jason, and Veronica), seven siblings, and his second family in Chile.
Services will be held in Prosper, Texas, on Saturday, April 20.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kelvin can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Missionary Fund.
