Keith James Horning

Keith James Horning passed away peacefully in his home in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday, October 12th, 2023. He was 68 years old. 

Keith was born on November 17th, 1954 at Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico to James  Horning and Agnella (Knoll) Horning. He was a 1972 graduate of Garden City High School in Kansas. He married Christine (Ramos) Horning on May 9th, 1981 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. He made a living as a telecommunications engineer, most recently with General Dynamics Information Technology at Al Udeid Air Base in Doha.

Keith is survived by his wife Christine, daughter Taylor, and son Ryan and his wife Allison, grandchildren John Ryan and Clark Horning, mother Agnella, sister Barbara Hester, and brothers David, Paul, and Duane Horning. He is preceded in death by his father James and brother in-law Robert Hester.

Besides spending time with his family, Keith had a passion for the Denver Broncos, audiovisual technology, home projects, model trains, yard work, exercising, music, movies, playing volleyball, and working on cars. He could often be found coaching his children’s volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams. 

Keith was a kind, gentle, adventurous, and loving man who loved to joke and have fun. He was a tremendous son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, and he touched many lives with his love, generosity, and humor. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a funeral mass and rosary to be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church located at 404 N Ballard Ave, Wylie, TX on Friday, October 27th. Rosary to start at 10am and funeral mass at 10:30.
