Katherine "Katie" Louise Cash

Katherine "Katie" Louise Cash, 44, of Wylie, TX passed away on May 12th, 2022. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Rush and Blake Rush, her grandfather Andrew Orth and her aunt and uncle, Dick and Kitty Scharlach. She is survived by her four children, David, Katlyn, Jennifer and Jimmy as well as her stepfather, Rene Villarreal, significant other, Derrick Sheard, her uncle, Gill Rush and her cousins, Ann Scharlach, Richard Scharlach and Betty Webb.
Katie was born in Houston, Texas and lived there as a child before moving to the Dallas area. She loved Houston and was very proud to be a Houstonian.
Katie loved to cook and had dreams of attending culinary school. She worked in the insurance industry and had aspirations of one day becoming an insurance adjuster and traveling/working in disaster areas. She loved to be at the beach with her toes in the sand.

Please join the family in honoring Katie's life on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St, McKinney, TX. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 N. Central Expressway, Allen, Tx.
