Karen Jean Lavarnway

Loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed from this life on April 27, 2012 in Garland, Texas. She was born September 4, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Manuel Eugene and Wanda Lou Jackson Lavarnway.


Karen was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Eugene "Gene" Lavarnway. Karen worked in the restaurant business as a waitress until she was unable to do so due to illness.


"Mimi" leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Sandi and her husband Ray Sears and Kevin and his wife Sarah McAnally, her grandchildren Daniel, Christopher and Mikayla Sears and Cameron and Reagan McAnally, her mother Wanda Lou Lavarnway, her siblings, Mike and Cyndi Lavarnway, Mark and Lydia Lavarnway, Laura Lavarnway and Julie Lavarnway.


Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 1, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 Fifth Street in Sachse. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, May 2 at Smith & Sons Sachse Chapel with Pastor Mark Hasenmyer officiating. Burial will take place in Tannehill Cemetery in McAlester, Oklahoma.
