Kanesha Dawn Dearing

October 15, 1973 — September 7, 2023

Rockwall, Texas

Kanesha Dawn Hill Dearing was born on October 15, 1973 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2023.

Kanesha was joy, laughter and light to everyone who knew her. She graduated from South Garland High School in 1992.  She obtained a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a Master's Degree from University of North Texas.  In high school she was Homecoming Queen and Most Beautiful, the lead actress in many theatre productions, a Dixie Darling officer and a member of the Southern Belles Drill team.  She was active in Delta Delta Delta at Baylor University.  She enjoyed being a teacher at Bent Tree and later The DaVinci School in Dallas. She loved working with the many students, staff and parents who she impacted greatly.  She loved her Rockwall community centered around the Stingerettes Drill Team and all the enjoyment she received from her many friends.  Among all her achievements, she was most proud of her 23 year marriage to J.D. and their life devoted to raising their two daughters, Alissa and Avery.

Kanesha is survived by her loving and devoted husband, James David "J.D." Dearing and their two daughters, Alissa and Avery Dearing; her mother, Shirley Gardner Hill and Mike Hardin; her brother, Chris Donaldson and wife Marci, nieces Camden and Harper and nephew Aiden; her Aunt Nancy Van Overschelde and Gene and nephew Matt Reese.  She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Dave and Beth Dearing and brother and sister in law Andy and Lea Dearing and niece Lizzie and nephew A. J.

She was preceded in death by her father Doug Hill, her grandmother, "Nanny" Zola Gardner, and her biological mother, Debbie Harrison.

Head for the Cure was a very important cause to Kanesha and it would mean a lot to the family if in lieu of flowers you would give in her memory to this organization. https://give.headforthecure.org/give/461908/#!/donation/checkout
