Judith "Judie" Ann Criss

Judie Criss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born December 12, 1942 in Canton, OH and died August 6, 2021 in Savannah, TX. Judie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Criss, daughter Tina (Robert) Commings of Canton, OH, son William (Kanisha) Criss of Mesa, AZ, son Mark (Pam) Criss of McKinney, TX, and sister Kathy (Brian) Youels of Lake Mohawk, OH, and brother-in-law Tony (Connie) Criss of Escondido, CA. Grandchildren Noah (Deseree) Rucker, Taylor (Dustin) VanWinkle, Shae Commings, Gabrielle (Clint) Wilson, Tyler (Keirsyn) Criss, Jaret Criss, Cameron Criss, and Carson Criss. Great grandchildren Alana Rucker, Blaise Rucker, Oakley Mae VanWinkle, Frankie Bea Wilson, Cecily Criss, and Whitten VanWinkle.

She is preceded in death by her mom Laura "Nanna" Terrigan, dad Gilbert Christopher, brother Ronald Brahler and beloved grandmother "Big Nanna", and sister-in-law Marie (John) Sturiale. Nothing made her happier than to be with her family. She was a constant giver, who loved to give time, energy, and gifts to those in her life. She gave so abundantly, that even if you mention once that you liked something, grandma would make it for you or buy it for you. She was famous for her pumpkin cookies, pasta sauce and sour cream cake (along with many other things).
Judie grew up in Canton, OH and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. She married Bill soon after and loved being a wife and mother.

Judie had a servant's heart. When her children were growing up you could often find her volunteering in scouts, the booster clubs and at the school. She never missed her kids' or grandkids' sporting events. She started working for Lake High School in the Superintendent's office until her retirement to Texas in 2007.
Judie was an active member at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney TX where she loved to attend Mass and play card games with the Women's Group.

In lieu of flowers, please hug and kiss your mom and grandma and honor the time with the women you have in your life.
