Jose Oscar Flores

Jose Oscar Flores, 61, of McKinney, Tx passed away in his home on March 3rd, 2023. 

Oscar Flores was born April 14th 1961 to Antonia Flores & Isabel Rubio in La Union, El Salvador. 

Oscar moved to the United States at 19 years old. Oscar fathered his Eldest son Oscar Jr in 1989. 

He met the love of his life Rubenia Rubio while vacationing in El Salvador. Rubenia and Oscar married in February 14th, 1993 who later went on to have two children, Edwin & Edgar Flores. 

Oscar spent his time fishing in Lake Lavon, home projects with his sons, singing/playing with his guitar but truly enjoyed his time making his family & friends laugh and enjoy life. Oscar will always be remembered as a man who lights up every room he entered. He always made time for his family & friends.

Oscar was predeceased by both his mother and father. And is survived by his loving wife Rubenia Flores; Sons Edwin Flores (wife Kathy), Edgar Flores, Oscar Flores Jr. (wife Jennifer), four grandchildren as well as his brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Family and friends are welcome to attend a viewing Friday March 10th at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home 601 S. Tennessee St. McKinney, TX. 75069 from 5:00  p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and his funeral 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 11th at Vida Abundante Church 1009 Anthony St. McKinney, TX. 75069. Burial will follow at  Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, TX.
