Johnnie Huston Sutton was born December 24, 1929 in Madison, Tennesee to Herbert L. and Lillian May Sutton. He died February 5, 2011 at the age of 81. Johnnie lived in Garland, Texas for the past 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary Christine Sutton, three daughters Christine Deanna Watson and husband Alfred, Sherry Lynn Vannoy and husband Dale, and Vickie Carol Landers and husband Bob, two sons Johnny Mack Sutton and Larry Huston Sutton and wife Layne, three half brothers Bob Sutton, Bert Sutton and Wayne Sutton, one half sister Darlene Sutton, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother Clyde Gene Sutton, one sister Doris Sutton Robbins and his aunt Annabelle (Auntie) Petty.

He lived and worked in several states and was a baker by trade. He loved traveling, tent camping and fishing; but his passion was singing Hank Williams songs and playing his guitar, banjo and harmonica. His favorite actor was John Wayne (the Duke). He enjoyed watching television and smoking his favorite pipe. He loved his family and enjoyed joking around with the staff at the nursing home where he passed away on February 5, 2011 after a lenghty illness.

Memorial Services will be held at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Chapel, 2925 5th Street in Sachse on February 20th at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Urn Garden at Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, Texas.
