John Alexander “Jack” McIntosh, born on October 9, 1932, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023.  John was born in Flushing, New York to his parents, John James McIntosh and Cecelia McIntosh.  He met his wife Marion at age seventeen.  He was working in an ice cream truck and she had a special order (orange pop-up and a light for her cigarette).  Two years later, they were married at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Flushing, New York on June 14, 1953.  After receiving his degree in Economics, from the University of Albuquerque, he worked for multiple companies including IBM.  He ultimately retired from Arco in the late 1990s.  Jack and Marion were devoted to each other for over 66 years and had several homes across the country including New York, New Mexico, Kansas, Louisiana and Michigan.  They finally settled in the Dallas, Texas area.

John is preceded in death by Marion.  They created a loving family with their daughter Kathryn O’Dea, son-in-law Stephen, granddaughter Kelly and her husband Mark Busi; and grandson Sean O’Dea, wife Rachel, and great-grandsons Seamus and Declan; their daughter Patricia Jaroszynski, son-in-law Eric and grandson Michael; son John McIntosh and daughter-in-law Susannah; and son Robert McIntosh; daughter-in-law Erin; grandson Jacob and granddaughter Sarah.  Jack was an only child, but his family included numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

John was happiest with his family, especially when everyone was enjoying a meal with a nice red wine.  Together they took several cruises, beach vacations, and drove throughout the United States.  A favorite memory for the entire family is when John and Marion enjoyed a Disney World vacation on electric scooters.  The family affectionately named them the “Scooter Twins
