Joe Anthony Martinez, 55, of Wylie, Texas passed away on July 26, 2023 at Methodist Richardson Medical Center with family by his side.
 
Joe Anthony Martinez was born on January 22, 1968 to Sedelia and Joe Martinez Jr. in Houston, Texas. He was raised alongside three siblings, Michael, Charles, and Cynthia. After α few years, the Martinez family moved to Plano. Joe began his journey to become the man everyone knows and loves. While working at Thunderbird, Joe met his future wife, Jennifer, as well as many life long friends. The two would start their lives together on the 18th of April, 1998, where they would go on to raise three beautiful children, Noah, Emma, and Sophia.  Joe made many friends while working at CitiBank and his co-workers became α second family to him.
 
Joe is preceded in death by his father Joe Martinez Jr. and survived by his wife of 25 years, Jennifer and children Noah and wife Kate, Emma, and Sophia. He is also survived by his mother Sedelia Martinez, brothers Michael (Andrew Aragon and Jessica Smith), Charles and wife Kassie (Kyler, Liam, Archer, Karissa Ann), sisters Cynthia Foos and husband Chris (Patrick Martinez and Miranda Tucker) and Lisa Cavazos and husband Ruben (Ruben and Marissa), Maria Bermea (Oscar Bermea), and his beloved dogs, Max and Molly. As well as many aunts, uncles, other family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.
 
Joe had many interests and hobbies, including fishing, hunting, golfing, and watching his kids participate in their many activities. He enjoyed watching WWE, Big Brother and was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He was the ultimate cheer dad and the most proud Navy father. Joe loved trying new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen with YouTube recipes.
 
We will be holding a Celebration of Life for Joe on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 at 10:00 am. At Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th St, Sachse, TX 75048.
