Jerry Wayne Akin

Age 66, passed from this life November 27, 2010 in Austin, Texas. He was born December 18, 1943 in McKinney, Texas to Charley Boyd Akin and Lillie Mae (Chapman) Akin. He graduated from Garland High School in 1963. Jerry served in the United States Naval Reserves during the Viet Nam conflict. Jerry worked as a heating and air conditioning technician. He lived in Sachse, Texas for a period of time. He is survived by his brothers, Joe S. Akin and wife Louise, Tommy Akin and wife Shirley and sister, Mary Payne and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Johnny Akin, brothers, Herman Akin,Bill Akin and Kermit Akin and sisters Opal Luoma, Gertrude Gidney and Lucy Payne. VISITATION will be 6 - 8 P.M.
