James Allen Jackson

James Allen Jackson, 69, of Melissa, TX, went to be with the Lord and Savior on May 25, 2024.

James was born January 22, 1955, in Port Arthur, TX to R.C. and Lois Jackson. After attending Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, TX, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1977.  

James enjoyed traveling, painting, and photography. He was an avid cook and always had insights on the newest restaurants. He enjoyed the hill country and he loved to tell stories; anything from childhood years, funny college days, his travels, or something funny that had happened just that day.

He was a member of The Parks Church in McKinney, TX. While there, he loved being a part of his bible study group. His faith in the Lord kept him lifted up and is what got him through his illness in the past two years.

Survivors include his daughter, Stefani Dulock and her husband Joseph Dulock of Pottsboro, TX and their children, Jackson and Wyatt; son Jake Jackson of Pottsboro, TX, his brother Reggie and his wife Leslie of Splendora, TX and their children and grandchildren; and his girlfriend Jill Windsor of McKinney, TX.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents R.C. and Lois Jackson and many other loved ones.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at TPC Commons at 121 S Tennessee Street in McKinney, TX.
