Ida Holloway

Ida Holloway passed peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Tuesday May 28, at the age of 89. She left behind John Holloway, the love of her life and father of her 5 children: Randy (Tina), Ronda Fults (John), Larry (Theresa), Kevin (Karen) and John (Kimberly). She had 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Ida had 8 brothers and sisters, all of whom remained very close throughout their lives. She will also be missed by a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She moved from West Virginia after graduating high school at the age of 16, and raised her family in Elgin, Illinois. She moved to Murphy, Texas in 1975 where she lived the rest of her life. She was active in the Murphy Road Baptist Church. Her life was spent loving and serving others. We are all richly blessed by her.

She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Lavon, TX on June 17 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of Flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
