Gerald Lee Pate

Gerald L. Pate, born November 9th, 1933 passed away on November 28, 2021. He is now fully with Christ and reunited with family and friends who preceded him in death.
Gerald attended Paris Junior College and sold insurance for his entire vocational career; a profession he always said he loved because it was about people and it was a joy for him to serve and help others.
Gerald had four siblings: Pearline Davis, Rae Pate, Johnnie Bassham and Priscilla McCanlies; all whom he remained close to throughout adulthood.
He was married to Thelma Layton Pate November 1954 and had three children, Bruce, Keith and Karen Pate. He also had three grandchildren, Emily, Jonathan and Allison Pate; and many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Gerald Pate Memorial for World Missions has been set up through New Hope First Baptist Church, Cedar Park, Texas where he was last actively involved. If you desire to donate in his honor to that fund, you can do so in the following ways:
