Gary Eugene Heronemus, 70, passed peacefully at his home in Garland, Texas surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
Gary was born on August 29, 1950 in Great Bend, Kansas to Harold Eugene (Gene) and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Heronemus. He was the oldest of three children, and spent the formative years of his life in various farming communities in north western Kansas. After graduating high school, he voluntarily enlisted in the United States Army.
Gary met the love of his life and future wife Patricia in 1976 at Jim Sullivan Chevrolet where they were both employed. They were married on September 3, 1977 and were blessed with three children Jennifer, Daniel, and Leslie. The family resided in several states before settling in Garland, Texas in February of 1989. In addition to his 40 years in the technology industry and taking pride in the results of a hard day's work, Gary expressed his love for people by serving in his church and community. He had a true passion for music, laughter and exploring the world on his mountain bike. Gary loved Jesus, adored his wife, and cherished his children.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother Betty, his sister Shirley and brother David.
Left to cherish his memory are Gary's parents Gene and Delores, his wife Patricia, his children Jennifer and Jason, Daniel and Shiho, Leslie, and Meagen; his grandchildren Savannah, Jude, Aaron, Nathan, and Alex and many others he impacted over the years.
Gary's life will be celebrated in a memorial service by family and friends at the Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano Texas 75093, at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021.
