Gary Elkins, 72, of Sachse passed away on May 5 after courageously fighting cancer.
Gary was born in San Angelo to Eugene Elkins and Evelyn Speer on December 6, 1949. He graduated from high school at Eielson AFB and later UNT. Gary was a peace officer in Sachse, TX and Farmers Branch, TX.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Evelyn Elkins and his son Robert "Logan" Elkins
Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara, Brother and Sister-n-Law, Tom and Debbie Beck, Indiana, Nieces, Jessica (Alan) Durm, Katie (Corey) Evans and Nephew, Jeff Beck (Courtney) Beck all from Indiana. Several Great Nephews and of course his favorite canines, Molly, Tagz and Buck.
A Life Celebration is being planned in the near future.
