Erma Neil Harris

Erma Neil Harris, age 80, of Garland, Texas passed away June 16, 2021 at Texas Presbyterian Hospital.

Erma Neil Perry (maiden name) was born in New Boston, Texas November 10, 1940 to her late parents Ben and Jammie Perry.

Erma was raised in Hamilton Park, Texas and attended James Madison High School. She graduated from James Madison in 1959. Erma went on to study business administration at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

She returned to Hamilton Park and met her late husband George L. Harris and were married March 13, 1968. They had one son, Victor Harris, in 1971. The family resided in Hamilton Park until they found a home and moved to Garland, Texas around 1975.

Erma landed a job at Rockwell International where she worked for 25 years until her retirement in February 1997.

Erma liked sports. She played softball for a number of years for the Ladybugs softball team and was a Washington Football club fan.

She resided in Garland until her passing.

Erma leaves to cherish her memory her son Victor Harris, her granddaughter Megan Caraway and great-grandson Princeton Stukes.

Erma will be cremated and laid to rest with her husband George at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

I will always remember and love my Mom.
