Erin Taylor

October 14, 1983 — September 10, 2021

Erin Elizabeth Cook Taylor, 37, of Josephine, Texas was called home abruptly to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 10, 2021. Erin's life may have been cut short, but she touched the hearts of many while she was with us.

Erin was born in Garland, Texas on October 14, 1983; to David Bruce Cook and Mary Ann Kramer Webb.

Erin grew up in the Garland and Rowlett area with two loving families, stepmother Kathy Ford, stepmother Rita Cook and stepfather Gary Webb, three sisters Jennifer Kay Good, Alicia Scott Kilkenny, and Katie Renee Cook and one big brother Kyle Wade Webb. It may have seemed like a confusing non-traditional family unit from the outside, but Erin's bond with her sisters, brother and her stepparents was no different than if they'd been related by blood. Fishing, softball, sports, and Garland High School football was a staple of her upbringing. Many family trips were spent together in Winter Park, Colorado, skiing, throwing snowballs, and sledding. Visiting the farm, her contagious laughter would always ensue while Papaw was in a serious game of train or spades, to the point the whole family would be laughing so hard Mamaws teeth would fall out.

Erin's passion for family continued as an adult, as she added and grew her own beautiful family. In 2004 Erin gave birth to her daughter, Kaylee Bradford, and married Joshua Taylor on December 14, 2008, then soon after giving birth to her son, Garrett Taylor in 2009.

She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Professionally she was recently working on getting her realtors license, had CMA and CDA certifications, and worked in the health insurance industry. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working out at the gym, and currently still owns the women's bench press record at the local gym. She was truly a treasure and will be missed by so many.

She is survived by grandparents Sherman and Carol Kramer, and all her loving family listed above that would do anything to hear her contagious laugh and feel her big loving heart just once again.

Erin is preceded in death by her grandmother Gwendolyn "Mamaw" Cook, grandmother Doris Eileen Webb and brother-in-law Michael Lance Good.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 1pm, Lake View Cemetery Gazebo, 2343 Lake Road, Lavon, TX 75166.
