Emma June Hill Peraldo May 4, 1944 – May 26, 2021

Mrs. Emma June Hill Peraldo went to be with her heavenly Father on May 26, 2021 in Plano, TX. She was the daughter of the late Willard B. (Bill) and Willie B. Hill and was born and raised in Bluefield, WV. She was married to Roger W. Peraldo for 57 years and the mother of "The 3 A's." Daughters include Angela B. Thompson (Scott) of Plano, TX, Alisha L. Brown (Mark) of McKinney, TX, and Autumn L. M. (Rachid) of North Africa. She is survived by grandchildren, Regan and Keller Thompson, Zachary Brown and brother W. K. (Ken) Hill and wife Betty of Pinehurst, NC, and Sister-in-Law Rhonda Peraldo of Coconut Creek, FL. In addition, she is survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their children. In her early years she was a member of Midway Church of Christ. She was a 1962 graduate of Bluefield High where she was in the band and a majorette and later attended Concord University. She was not able to complete her degree as she left school to care for her parents who were severely injured in an automobile accident. She lived in Hawaii for several years in the late '60s due to Roger's Air Force assignment at Wheeler AFB. She treasured these years with little monetary means and valued the experiences and memories made with military friends. After leaving the military they settled in Charlottesville, VA for over 46 years and in 2016 moved to TX to be near their grandchildren and spent hours at their school and sporting events. For over 40 years Emma taught Charlottesville preschoolers at both First Baptist Church Preschool and as a teacher and Director at Jefferson Park Baptist Church. The relationships with the children and their parents brought her tremendous joy. She was a member of First Christian Church and then, Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville. She had several close friends through church who became like family. She was an active volunteer at church both in Sunday School, in the choir and an avid supporter of the Charlottesville High School Band Booster Club and a Girl Scout Cookie mom. She loved her Bible Study group friends (affectionally called "sistas") who met weekly before work.

A private family burial will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with a Memorial Service at a later date. Emma would like to be remembered as a Christ follower and for her love of the many children she taught through the years. The family requests donations to: Mission to the World Account #16120, PO Box 744165 Atlanta, GA 30374-4165 or the Alzheimer's Association 225 North Michigan Ave. FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in her honor.
