Dwight Greene

July 1, 1945 — December 2, 2010

Dwight "Butch" Douglas Greene was born in Mechanicsville, Iowa to John and
Virginia Greene on July 1, 1945. He passed from this life at his home in
Garland, Texas on Thursday evening, December 2, 2010.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice Greene, mother Virginia Greene, son Todd
Greene, daughters Susan Greene and Lori Randolph, stepsons Dan and Billy
Scoggins, daughter-in-laws Eileen and Leah Scoggins and Leah Greene,
grandchildren; Alissa Anderson, Christopher Meheut, and Alexander and Eva Greene, and great-grandchildren Callie and Mackenzie Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his father John Greene, sister Janette Fields,
brother David Greene, and grandson Dylan Meheut.

Butch enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966. During his tour, he stationed in
France and Germany, before discharging in 1968.

He moved to Texas in 1974, where he later married Bea in June of 1989.
He worked as a long-distance driver, employed for the last eleven years with
Aquatic (formerly Lasco).

Butch is remembered with love by his family and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 11th at noon at
Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth Street in
Sachse, Texas. 972-414-5050.

Flowers, after the service, will be taken to Rowlett Health & Rehab Center,
where his mother currently resides, to brighten the lives of the people in
residence there.
