83, Born December 23, 1928 in Blue Ridge, Texas and passed away February 2, 2012 in Richardson, Texas.
Dorothy was a lifetime member of the Rebecca's and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Sachse. She loved to travel and enjoyed playing dominos and card games.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bifford Kerby; son, Edward Kerby; parents, Homer and Laura Mae Parkins; two brothers, Bill Mauldin and Dwayne Parkins; and sister, Lenora Rice.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Jean Walker and her husband, Earl; son, Ted Kerby and his wife, Darla; five grandchildren, Clint Walker and his wife, Guadalupe, Bryan Walker and his wife, Paula, Kim Prestenberg and her husband, Troy, Christie Forbes and her husband, Trent, and Kyle Kerby and his wife, Sarah; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 Fifth Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Sachse, 2412 Third Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Reverend Jerry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, Texas.
