Doris Allene Roberts

Doris Allene (Rish) Roberts, age 81, of Fairview, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2021.
She was born on October 13, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina, to Julius and Grace (Hussey) Rish. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred W. Roberts; their two daughters Gwen (Mitch) McKenzie of Houston, Texas, and Pamela Braddy of Carrollton, Texas; three grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Braddy and Will McKenzie. She is also survived by her sister, Julia (Rish) Dicks of Lake City, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Doris graduated from North Texas State College in 1961. Following her marriage to Fred, she resided in Warren, Ohio for 35 years before retiring to Fairview, Texas. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling, and she was active in her church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and will be missed by all.
On July 12, 2021, a private memorial was held by her family. She was laid to rest in Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
