Doris S. Nelson

Doris S. Nelson was born April 12, 1944 in Opelika, Alabama to James Eugene Sizemore & Lela Fuller Sizemore. Doris went to be with her Lord on March 20, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James & Lela Sizemore; brothers, James P. Sizemore of Ft. Worth, & Herbert Posey of N. Richland Hills; sister Sarah Yvonne Posey, & Floyd Lox.
Doris is survived by her husband, Doyle W. Nelson; son, Danny Nelson & wife Susan of McKinney; son, Carey Brent Nelson of Ivanhoe; sister, Maryann Scott and husband Joe of Lone Oak; brothers, Jack Glenn Dowdy & wife Kelly of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Joe E. Sizemore of Phenix City, Alabama; grandchildren, Dara W. Nelson of Ft. Hood, Daniel Nelson of Ivanhoe; and several nieces & nephews.
Doris taught math at Faubion, Slaughter, & Dowell Middle School and loved it with all her heart. Her hobby was her companion dog, Jackson. They were inseparable until she went into Memory Care for Alzheimer's. She will be dearly missed by all.
