Diana Anchondo Nieto

On February 2nd, 2023, the good lord took Diana Anchondo Nieto, and gave her
a pair of wings after battling illness. Diana was born in San Antonio, Tx on
November 10th, 1958, to Mr. Aurelio & Antonia Anchondo. She was one of 15 children.
Diana was married to Ricardo S Nieto on October 24th, 1975. They raised their three children
Bobby Jo Nieto, Ricardo Nieto Jr, and Bunny Lee Handley in Munday Tx where they grew up.
Diana was a devoted wife and mother. She worked at The Munday Nursing home for many
years to help support her family. Later she and her husband moved and made Mckinney Tx their
new home. There she continued to work as a caregiver while her husband began his career with
Bill Joplin's Heating and Air.
Diana was most happy while spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to
get dressed up and go dancing, play cards, (especially poker). Food was also something she
was very passionate about. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her family.
Diana is survived by her husband Ricardo S. Nieto from Mckinney Tx, following her children
Bobby Jo Nieto and daughter in law Belinda Nieto from Obrien Tx , Ricardo Nieto Jr and Linda
Biggs from Tx, and Bunny and Joseph Handley. Diana is also survived by six grandchildren and
twelve great grandchildren, eleven brothers and sisters and countless nieces and nephews who
all loved her very dearly.
The family will be holding a viewing for family and friends to pay their respects and say their
farewells at Charles W Smith and Sons Funeral Homes 601 S. Tennessee St Mckinney Tx
75069 beginning Feb 6th 10am-4pm and Feb 7th 9am-4pm reception following at the Bi
Joplin's Training center @ 4:30p to 7:30pm
