David Lee Willis, a loving and beloved husband, cherished son, dear brother, and fun-loving friend to many, was called home by our heavenly father on May 9th, 2024, at the age of 60. David’s journey was marked with love, laughter, and a spirit that knew no bounds. His presence will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. 

David will be deeply missed by his loving wife Lina, his father Clyde and his wife Winnie, his sisters Laura and Becky, and a host of friends whose lives he touched with his warmth, humor, kindness, and an unwavering love for life. He shared a special bond with his wife of 18 years Lina Willis. Their marriage was a testament to their deep bond and unwavering support for each other.

David wasn't just a dreamer; he was a doer. With an entrepreneurial essence that drove his ambition, he tackled life head-on, always with a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. His quick wit and infectious laughter could brighten even the dullest of days. He had a love for the outdoors, whether he was running through the trails, hunting in the woods, or teeing off on the golf course. His love for life was contagious, and he made sure to spread it wherever he went.

Though David may have left this world, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and in the hearts of those who loved him. He would not want us to remember him with tears, but with laughter, knowing that he's off on his next great adventure. As David would have put it “I’m out of here”.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Thursday, May 16^th, at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral in Sachse TX, with a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 and service at 4:00 where friends and family will gather to honor his memory, share stories, laughter, and love in his honor. We will continue to cherish his memory “David” style with some food and drinks shortly after the service.

Rest easy, David. Your enduring smile and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
