David Neal Permenter

David Neal Permenter, age 49, a loving father, husband, brother, son, friend, joined our heavenly father on September 27th, 2020. He is the husband of Celia Mori Permenter and father of Drew Needham Permenter. David and Mori enjoyed 19 loving years of marriage.

Born in El Paso, Texas, he is the son of James and Elizabeth Permenter. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing and management, and went on to attend the University of Texas at Dallas and earned a Masters degree in International Management. David spent his career in various sales roles in the field of technology.

He was a devoted member of Crossroads Church and enjoyed traveling the world with Mori and Drew. He was a proud leader of the Boy Scouts for over 11 years and most recently served as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 57 in Garland, Texas. David will be remembered for his love of animals, his fierce school pride, and his ability to make everyone feel like family.

He is survived by his wife Celia Mori Permenter, his son Drew Needham Permenter, his father James Permenter, his brothers John (Cindy), Mike (Emily), Bob (Chere), Tim, and Richard (Karen) Permenter and Glenn Chaves (Yvonne), sisters Michelle Anderson (Richard) and Lisa Permenter. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Permenter.

The visitation will be held on October 2, 2020 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM and the memorial service will be held on October 3, 2020 at 12:00 PM. Both will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2343 Lake Rd., Lavon, Texas.
