Daniel Herbert English

Daniel Herbert English was born on March 27th, 1963 in Sweet Home, Oregon. He was raised by his loving parents Joe and Lois English. He received his heavenly wings on July 2^nd, 2023.

Dan is a proud veteran of the Navy; he served our country for 11 years (1981-1992). As Data Systems Technician First Class, he received a Navy Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and numerous personal awards and recognition throughout his career. Using his IT experience from the Navy, Dan had a long career in Cyber Security, most recently working as the Senior Director over Cyber Security at HCSC/Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Dan started dating the love of his life, Lorisa on March 19th, 2021. They shared their love story with so many family and friends. Whether it be going on extravagant vacations, hanging by the pool, going on long motorcycle rides, hanging with their IX Brothers family or just settling in sharing some of their favorite lifetime stories. And finally, starting to plan their forever life together.

Dan was witty, fun loving and a hard worker who loved his family unconditionally. In his earlier years, he was on the wrestling team, played football and just enjoyed riding his bicycle all over Glendale, Oregon.

Dan enjoyed working on motorcycles and fixing up old cars. He is proud of his collection of Harley Davidson hats from around the country and a variety of pocket knives and guns. His most recent enjoyment was learning things from TikTok and telling Dad Jokes to entertain the friends and family around him.

Dan is survived by his fiancée, Lorisa, his 5 children Vanessa Cole, her husband Clarence, Jessica Ahern, her husband Nate, Sean, his wife Calessa, Christina and Jason. Dan is a very proud grandpa with 9 granddaughters Alexis, Sherry, Makenzie, Lily, Autumn, Madison, Ryleigh, Harper, Isabelle and 3 grandsons Waylon and twin boys due in December. Parents Joe and Lois English, brother Bob and sister Tina.

Dan will be sincerely missed by his loving family, extended MC family, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service for Dan will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday July 15^th, 2023 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Located at 2925 Fifth St, Sachse, TX 75048
